Investigators believe the fatal attack occurred during the early hours of Saturday morning. Surveillance footage played a key role in the investigation, capturing Whittier leaving the apartment complex at approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday, shortly after the timeframe in which authorities believe Pamela was killed.
